Ben is a tall green benly benis (rhymes with "Dennis") who lives with his smarmy, trash-talking tortoise friend Steve in the mountains of Benzweld, Colorado. Together with the financially disadvantaged Jim the deformed frog, the intransigent Timmy the microbe, and a myriad cast of unforgettable compatriots, these high-altitude mavericks explore electrical engineering, business management, gardening and literature as they stamp out a life of uncompromised modern-day autonomy.
